Trinidad Tellez is the Director of the Office of Minority Health and Refugee Affairs at the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (NHDHHS). She is responsible for ensuring equitable access to effective, quality NHDHHS programs and services across all populations. However, NHDHHS programs are designed with a specialized focus on individuals with disabilities and racial, ethnic, language, gender and sexual minorities. She also has oversight of implementing systems and policies in compliance with federal civil rights laws that require communication assistance.

Dr. Tellez is a longstanding champion of community-based participatory research and authentic patient/community engagement. These mechanisms play an important role in facilitating and leading community-driven approaches to promote health equity. She also supports the development of partnerships, initiatives and policies to reduce health disparities and promote health equity statewide. She serves on numerous commissions, leadership bodies, advisory groups and committees.
