Michele Stewart-Copes is Chief Executive Officer of SEET (System for Education Equity and Transition) Consultants, LLC. She also serves as a national trainer and consultant in systems of care and cultural competency coaching. She developed and managed the nation’s first highly successful wraparound effort within an inner city that focused on Puerto Rican and African American neighborhoods in Hartford, Connecticut. To date, she has provided wraparound training, certification and coaching in 20 states and Canada.

As co-principal of SEET, Ms. Stewart-Copes conducts organizational assessments and training based on Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services standards and goals of the National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities. She helped to develop health equity plans with state agencies for the Connecticut Health Equity Commission.

Ms. Stewart-Copes earned an MS in guidance and counseling, an MSW in social work, and National Supervisor Coach Wraparound certification. She serves on several local, state and national organizations: a member of the Community Development Commission of New Britain; a member of the New England Regional Health Equity Council; and a fellow of the Connecticut Faith-Based Community Development Leadership Institute.

Ms. Stewart-Copes’s previous positions demonstrate a long and successful career as a national trainer, coach, and consultant.
  • Adjunct Professor: She taught a cultural competency class to MPH Program students at Southern Connecticut State University for 10 years. 
  • Trainer: She provided education and training to increase diversity skills among teachers and students in the World of Difference Office of the Anti-Defamation League. 
  • Senior Coach and Trainer: She held this position with the leading international wraparound training, coaching, and consulting firm in North America, Vroon VanDenBerg LLP. She facilitated activities for the U.S. National Wraparound Initiative. She co-facilitated and developed curricula for the wraparound practice model with Dr. John VanDenBerg, an internationally renowned lecturer and psychotherapist.
